Summer Arts Camp aims to provide a space where kids and teenagers can explore the complexity of social justice issues that are prevalent in the media, in their communities, and in their own lives and relationships. We will use different art forms to explore these issues, ranging from performance arts to visual creations to abstract combinations of creative practice.
Our camps will run for 4 weeks of the summer.
Summer Arts Camp on Queen is all about experiential learning.
Our goal for each camp week is that youth will KNOW, GROW, and SHOW and, of course have fun participating and discovering more about themselves, art and their community. There will be a private Facebook Page (through invitation only) where you can share a picture of your craft and things that you have been doing over the weeks. We will be delivering Art Packages with all the supplies bi-weekly on Mondays between 11 am and 3 pm. The packages will include a letter about what type of creation based on the theme they can create for the week, art supplies, and how to post it. Don’t worry, we’ll create a post to help you learn how to create your own craft!!
There will be no fee this year!!
